Roger A. Roesler, 1909-2003, Versailles
Roger A. Roesler, 94, of Versailles, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, at the Good
Shepherd Care Center in Versailles.
He was born Jan. 10, 1909, in Otterville, a son of Edgar and Maymie Roesler.
Mr. Roesler worked for General Motors in Leeds until 1951. He then worked
for the TWA overhaul base and retired in October 1973. Before moving to
Versailles, he lived in Kansas City and Blue Springs. He was a member of Rising
Sun Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, International Association of Machinists,
Ararat Temple, TWA Seniors Club and Calvary Baptist Church in Blue Springs.
Surviving are two daughters, Wanda McCale, of Hollister, and Dee Roesler, of
Blue Springs; a stepson, Bob Hardey; a granddaughter; and four
great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two sisters; and two wives, Geneva in 1984 and
Catherine in 2001.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Webb-Freer Funeral Home in
Blue Springs. Burial will be in Floral Hills East Memorial Gardens. The family
will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
